Today, for the very first time(and first time selling any stocks), I made some money in the stock market.
$500 worth...
In the art of investing, I am a novice, have almost no idea other than the "buy low, sell high" and did painfully little research in choosing which companies. It is uncharacteristic of me, but I did invest anyway because I felt that if I hadn't, then I would invest.
The investment was like a first step I took just because taking it would mean I would pay more attention to my money overall. It worked. Now that I had some capital gains, I am much more interested in doing the due research.
I declare studying investments as the new focal point of my life.
