Sentimental.

I must be becoming quite sentimental.

Yesterday, I couldn't help but cry while watching "Children of Heaven", an Iranian movie (I highly recommend it if you are ever slightly into non-Hollywood movies).

Today, while at work, I followed a link on GE's website on Olympic commercials -- one of which was the Visa commercial on Derek Redmond. If you haven't seen it, it's the one where Derek snaps his hamstring while running 400m at 1992 Olympic, then finishes the race with assistance of his father.

Intrigued, I searched Wikipedia for the full story. Here's a paragraph from the Wikipedia:

In the semi-final, Redmond started well, but in the back straight about 250 metres from the finish, his hamstring snapped. He hobbled to a halt, and then fell to the ground in pain. Stretcher bearers made their way over to him, but Redmond decided he wanted to finish the race. He began to hobble along the track, with pain etched upon his face. He was soon joined on the track by his father, Jim Redmond, who barged past security and on to the track to get to his son. Jim and Derek completed the lap of the track together, with Derek leaning on his father's shoulder for support. As they crossed the finish line, the 65,000 crowd rose to give Derek a standing ovation.

Reading this, tears formed. I couldn't help it. Here's a full video of the run.
